About the role: Momentum Sports Group is a sports agency that guides high school athletes through college recruiting and represents them through signing day. We are launching a soccer division and are hiring its first Head of Soccer Division to build and lead it. You will own the full recruiting process for our soccer clients: finding and signing athletes, matching them with the right college programs, managing their academic and eligibility profile, and negotiating their scholarship offers through signing day. This is a builder role with a direct line to the founders and real ownership of the division's growth. Key responsibilities1. Find and sign athletes
  • Build a steady stream of leads through clubs, high schools, MLS NEXT, ECNL and academy programs, showcases and ID camps.
  • Meet with families, present Momentum's services and sign new clients.2. Evaluate and position each player
  • Assess each athlete's level and realistic college fit across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and junior college.
  • Build player profiles: highlight video, stats, references and a target list of schools.3. Connect athletes with college coaches
  • Run outreach to college head and assistant coaches and keep up relationships with coaching staffs.
  • Arrange calls, campus visits and ID camp opportunities, and follow up on every lead.4. Manage academics and eligibility
  • Track each athlete's high school GPA, SAT/ACT scores, transcripts and core-course progress.
  • Guide athletes and families through NCAA Eligibility Center (and NAIA) registration and requirements.5. Negotiate offers through signing day
  • Compare athletic and academic scholarship packages and advise families on their options.
  • Negotiate scholarship terms with coaches and see each athlete through commitment and signing day.6. Build and run the division
  • Set up the soccer division's processes, client tracking and reporting.
  • Grow the client base, help set targets, and hire and train staff as the division grows. Required experience and qualifications
  • Played college soccer at the NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA level.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in competitive soccer coaching, recruiting, or player development.
  • Strong knowledge of the college soccer landscape: how programs rank athletically and academically, and what coaches at each level look for.
  • Working knowledge of college admissions and eligibility: GPA and core-course requirements, SAT/ACT, and NCAA Eligibility Center rules.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable with families, athletes and college coaches, in person, by phone and in writing.
  • Organized and self-driven, able to manage many athletes at different stages at the same time.
Preferred qualifications:
  • An existing network of college soccer coaches and of club and academy directors, especially in the Northeast.
  • Experience with college recruiting from either side, for example as a college assistant or graduate assistant coach, a club college-placement coordinator, or a recruiting-service scout.
  • Experience reviewing or negotiating athletic scholarship offers.
  • Sales or business development experience, or a record of growing a program or client base.
  • Comfortable with recruiting platforms, highlight video tools and a CRM or spreadsheets for tracking clients.
  • A coaching license (for example, a U.S. Soccer or United Soccer Coaches license).
  • Spanish or another second language is a plus for working with international and bilingual families.
What we offer:
  • The chance to build and lead a new division from the ground up, with real input on strategy and growth.
  • Compensation: Commission based.
  • A flexible schedule built around the soccer and recruiting calendar.
  • Work alongside an agency already active in college tennis recruiting, with shared tools and college relationships.
