Electrical Assembler$17.00/hour Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (or 3:30 PM) Saturday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM, as needed Contract-to-hire
Position Overview: The Aerospace Electrical Assembler assists in the assembly of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical components used in aerospace seating systems. This role follows detailed work instructions and engineering drawings to build quality products while meeting daily production schedules. Training is provided on company-specific processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical components according to work instructions and blueprints
  • Read and follow basic engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
  • Cut, strip, crimp, solder, label, and terminate wires and connectors
  • Use Visual Factory to follow electronic work instructions and record production progress
  • Perform basic continuity and electrical testing using standard testing equipment
  • Record labor, materials, and production information in the Epicor ERP system
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Typical Day:
  • Receive daily work assignments from the Electrical Supervisor
  • Assemble wire harnesses and electrical components to specification
  • Build motors and HAWE units
  • Cut and prepare wire for production
  • Solder electrical connections
  • Gather and batch production materials
  • Perform hi-pot testing on completed assemblies
  • Record build information in SharePointWork with a team of approximately 12 electrical assemblers to meet production goals
  • Work Environment
  • Clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility
  • Primarily seated work at individual assembly benches
  • High attention to detail required
  • Independent work with occasional team collaboration
  • Cell phones are not permitted at workstations (one earbud permitted per company policy)
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GEDAt least 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic assembly, soldering, or wiring is a plus
  • Internship, vocational training, First Robotics, or STEM program experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions consistently
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors and handle small components
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills:
  • Basic computer navigation
  • Ability to follow written and visual work instructions accurately
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Familiarity with hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Good attention to detail and quality
