Apply for this role →SorterThe Sorter is responsible for safely and efficiently sorting recyclable and non-recyclable materials on a conveyor line at a waste processing facility. This role is critical to ensuring proper waste handling, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate recyclable materials (plastic, paper, metal, etc.) from waste stream on a conveyor belt
- Remove contaminants and ensure proper placement of materials into designated bins
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with facility cleanup and basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Report equipment issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Work efficiently to meet daily production and sorting goals
Qualifications:
- Clean background and drug screen
- Previous experience in a labor, warehouse, or recycling environment is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
