Dump Truck Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities: Operate articulated and/or rigid-frame dump trucks to haul fill, borrow material, and stone Safely load, haul, position, and dump material throughout the jobsite Operate over soft, wet, uneven, and temporary haul roads Work safely around excavators, dozers, other heavy equipment, and ground crews Follow directions from foremen, spotters, and equipment operators Monitor changing ground and haul-road conditions and report safety concerns Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections Report equipment or mechanical issues promptly Follow site safety, traffic-control, and environmental requirements Assist with other equipment operation or general jobsite duties as needed

Requirements: 2+ years of experience operating articulated dump trucks, off-road dump trucks, haul trucks, or similar heavy equipment Experience working on heavy civil, earthwork, grading, excavation, dredging, or similar construction projects preferred Comfortable operating on soft, wet, uneven, or unstable terrain Valid driver's license; CDL preferred if required for assigned equipment or public-road travelOSHA 10 certification Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screening Ability to safely climb in and out of heavy equipment and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong safety awareness and ability to communicate with operators, spotters, and ground crews We Offer: Opportunity to work on a major heavy civil dike-raising project Consistent, hands-on heavy equipment work Opportunity to operate heavy off-road construction equipment Work alongside experienced excavator, dozer, and heavy civil crews Specialized experience in dike, marine, dredging, and earthwork construction Opportunity to build experience operating in challenging ground conditions Safety-focused work environment Team-oriented field environment Long-term experience with an established heavy civil contractor Opportunity to expand your skills on specialized construction projects If you have at least 2 years of heavy equipment or off-road dump truck experience and you're ready to put your skills to work, we want to hear from you.
