Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a talented and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to bring their unique skills to our progressive team. Utilising cutting-edge ultrasound equipment, you will perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, working alongside a supportive team dedicated to patient care. You'll play a critical role in interpreting images that help alleviate fears and provide clarity in challenging health journeys.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout each examination, reinforcing understanding and compassion Engage closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality images and effective communication Manage ultrasound equipment, swiftly addressing any technical issues Maintain accurate documentation and patient data within the electronic medical records system Remain engaged with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practice standards
Education Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field A CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program completed is highly preferred
Certifications: Required Active ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred Skills Needed Proficient in sonographic imaging techniques and adept at patient positioning Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate patient interaction Able to work independently, while also thriving within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable in a high-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care
