Apply for this role →Quality Control Supervisor United Concrete, a 70-year leader in precast concrete serving New England, is hiring a Quality Control Supervisor in Wallingford, CT to own our QC program, documentation, and DOT/PCI/NPCA compliance. This is a primarily office-based role (approx. 80% office / 20% plant floor) focused on records management, audit readiness, data review, and process improvement.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Reports to: Quality Control Manager
What You'll Do:
Own the plant's QC documentation system and keep all records complete, accurate, and audit-ready Review and approve technician test records and inspection reports against specs and shop drawings Maintain records for raw materials, mill certs, equipment calibrations, and test results Manage NCR, RFI, and site inspection logs through closure Prepare and submit documentation packages to DOT and transportation agencies Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QC reports Serve as primary contact for DOT inspections and facilitate PCI and NPCA plant certification audits Plan and execute internal audits; track corrective actions to closure Analyze test data and inspection trends; lead root cause investigations and corrective actions Conduct regular plant floor walkthroughs to verify procedures and spot-check testing and inspections Coordinate daily QC technician assignments and train on documentation and procedural updates
