We built this competition because our marketing team needs an AI-first engineer who can solve real problems and bring serious value through AI-first building. We think a contest like this gives us the best shot at finding that person. It's Today Media is an affiliate marketing company. Our business has to stay on the cutting edge of marketing strategy and execution to survive — and right now, AI tools and agentic systems are becoming critical to staying there. Our team has been building some genuinely cool stuff with AI that's changing the way we operate. But building these tools takes time and focus that's in short supply for a lean team. So we're hiring a full-time engineer to own the development and implementation of these tools, take our team to the next level, and unlock as much value as possible for the business. We're looking for someone who: Loves to get things done. Gets genuinely fired up about the potential to build cutting-edge tools with AI.Can run with a project given incomplete direction. Gets excited about delivering something that moves the needle for the business. Is comfortable in a fast-moving environment and does their best work under pressure. Wants to work hard, deliver real value, and earn increased responsibility and financial upside. Is curious about the business side of things — how technology supports it, what makes it grow, and whether their own work is making a difference. And most importantly, someone who believes in working hard and standing behind their work. At our company, that opens doors. The ideal candidate has deep experience with both marketing and agentic AI tools — but if that's not you, don't be discouraged. There aren't many people who fit that description yet. What will make you stand out? Contagious passion for marketing and/or AI. A willingness to fail fast. A desire to build a reputation through your work. Plus at least enough relevant experience to actually do the job. This is a build contest — but it's also an opportunity to show us what you've got through the work itself.
