Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

UCHealth is seeking a Travel RN CVOR to deliver expert perioperative care for cardiovascular surgery patients across our Colorado facilities. In this role, you’ll circulate and scrub in CVOR cases, manage hemodynamically complex patients, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. You’ll follow evidence-based protocols, maintain strict sterile technique, and respond rapidly in emergent situations. Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular OR patients as circulator and scrub nurse Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection prevention standards in the CVOR Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team to ensure safe, efficient procedures Monitor and document patient status, hemodynamics, and responses throughout procedures Prepare and manage CVOR equipment, instruments, and specialty supplies Respond to intraoperative and emergent situations using ACLS-level interventions Follow evidence-based CVOR protocols, policies, and safety checklists Educate and support patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative expectations Travel between UCHealth facilities and adapt quickly to new teams and workflows Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and professional development Cardiovascular operating room nursing Circulating and scrub nurse skills Hemodynamic monitoring Sterile technique and infection control Intraoperative patient assessment and documentation Use of CVOR equipment and instruments ACLS-level emergency response Electronic health record documentation Perioperative care protocols and checklists Interdisciplinary OR team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (CO or compact) BLS certification ACLS certification CNOR preferred Cardiovascular OR experience required Travel nursing experience preferred
