Job Description This position is responsible for all activities related to the implementation of new capital, tooling fixtures, continuous improvement, and maintenance of weld assembly equipment. The individual needed for this role must have prior leadership experience in an Engineering function. Tooling and capital will be implemented in, but not limited to the following areas: MIG, spot and resistance welding, assembly etc. Position may also be required to assist automation and secondary process departments with specific tooling programming needsEssential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities
- Able to effectively lead a team comprised of Automation, Process, Weld, and Controls Engineers and Technicians
- Maintain PLC based control systems for manufacturing, automation, and instrumentation
- Program PLC ladder logic from start to finish
- Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines
- Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
- Generate wiring schematics and control drawings with AutoCAD, maintain all plant electrical prints
- Work closely with engineering team to define system control needs
- Select industrial control components and assist with MRO crib
- Guide design, develop and test electrical control methods, materials, processes and results

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a relevant field of study, requiredExperience: Five (5) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Three (3) or more years of experience in automation engineering, assembly or related field Two (2) or more years of direct leadership experience of professional staff Stamping and Assembly manufacturing experience in the auto industry strongly preferred Five (5) or more years of experience working with all A-B Rockwell PLC/HMI family of products Five (5) or more years of experience working with FANUC ArcTool Five (5) or more years of experience working with FANUC SpotTool Five (5) or more years of experience working with Kuka KRC 4 controllers would preferable Three (3) or more years of experience working with WTC (RAFT) an DEPsAdditional Skills Required: To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following skills are required: Computer skills: Applicant must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design programs a plusCommunication skills: Strong verbal, written and presentation skills (in English) are required Able to interact in a professional manner at all times with fellow employees or customers Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formMathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, measurements and proportions to practical situationsOther Skills: Organized and able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Must also be able to understand basic electrical schematics Company Description Metal Stamping and Assembly Automotive Manufacturing Supplier Company Description Metal Stamping and Assembly Automotive Manufacturing Supplier
