Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, under the supervision of the Physician(s), acts as the collaborative practitioner, responsible for: Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol Provides assistance during procedures when requested Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth Knowledge and Skills Required: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public. Strong communication skills Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours for Nocturnist shift TBDCandidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen AdventHealth Campuses: Orlando, Altamonte, East Orlando, Winter Park, Apopka, Winter Garden, Minneola, Lake Nona
