Apply for this role →Administrative Program Specialist-AThe Louisiana State Police Investigative Support Section (ISS) has a vacancy for an Administrative Program Specialist-A. LSP ISS serves to provide personnel, analytical, and technical support for criminal investigations for law enforcement throughout the state. It is comprised of the Louisiana State Analytical and Fusion Exchange (LA-SAFE), the Louisiana Clearinghouse for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Cyber Crime Unit. It also houses the program coordinators for troopers and investigators who conduct human trafficking, child exploitation, insurance fraud, and digital forensics investigations. This Administrative Program Specialist-A position serves both administrative and program functions within LSP ISS. Duties include serving as a confidential assistant to the ISS Commander, coordinating ISS personnel matters with Human Resources and Civil Service, organizing various written agreements with other law enforcement agencies, assisting the Commander and section leaders with visibility and implementation of program goals, and other miscellaneous administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
As an Administrative Program Specialist-A, you will assist with program operations, coordinate administrative functions, and ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures to support organizational goals.
In this role, you will:
Supervise and manage administrative operations for the Investigative Support Section; Assist the ISS Commander as Executive Assistant with various internal and legislative committee duties; Prepare, review, and coordinate timely submission of correspondence, statistical reports, and special requests; Manage MOUs, timekeeping, and other administrative duties for the unit. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: This position is a promotional opportunity to current, permanent DPS employees.
Work Schedule:
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, MondayFriday Location: This vacancy is located in the Investigative Support Section in the Office of State Police located in East Baton Rouge Parish.
