Holywater is an upscale cocktail bar in Tribeca from the team behind Grand Banks (and a handful of other nautically inspired ventures). The maritime-themed, underground space consists of three intimate rooms - a cocktail bar, a lounge, and a dining room - filled with artifacts collected over the years. The Lead Host will work closely with venue management to ensure the restaurant maximizes each guest experience from beginning to end, and to increase seating opportunities at the Venue. The Lead Host heads the Front Door staff, mentors junior members of the front door team, monitors daily reservations via Resy, will liaise with the Guest Services team, operate an accurate wait list during peak service periods. The Host role is a vital member of the dining room team, overseeing the flow of bookings to the restaurant, initial hospitality when arriving and booking reservations, and a warm goodbye.. The Host has a firm grasp on what is happening in all parts of the restaurant at all times during service to seat and fill the restaurant in such a way that maximizes the restaurant and supports the dining room and kitchen teams so that they can fulfil their roles with excellence.. Deep menu knowledge, comfort with the wine and beverage list, act as an initial ambassador for the brand and build sales through excellent hospitality. Demonstrate an understanding of reservations booking strategies and a working knowledge of all functions of Resy.. Coordinate with management to “build the book” and boost cover counts while taking into consideration both the needs of the business and the needs of our guests.
