Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service to guests. Occasional bussing of tables when needed to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests. Through communication with Manager on Duty, the Hostess will greet and escort guests to tables in the restaurant.. Answering the phone and taking reservations importing into the Open Table data base.. Knowledge of restaurant operations service equipment and guest relations.. Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials.. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
