To excel as a Host/Hostess, you should possess previous guest service experience, though it is preferred, and be proficient in handling various software or tools related to reservations and seating arrangements.

$13 - $15 Per Hour. The Host/Hostess of the restaurant is the first person our guests encounter when entering the establishment and the last person to make an impact before leaving. Qualified applicants must be able to meet and exceed the guest's expectations by opening the door for each and every guest. Other responsibilities of the hostess include monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitoring the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. The hostess is often responsible for answering the telephone, moving tables together to accommodate large parties and carding patrons.

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for the guest entering the restaurant and bar.. Assists in maintaining a clean and organized environment, working closely with the restaurant and bar staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.. Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customer's concerns are addressed.. Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.. Drug and alcohol screening will continue through post-hire testing to be conducted by a third-party random number generator.

This position requires the Hostess to greet guests at the door, seats and presents clean menus to guest in a friendly, professional and quick manner. Adhering to all Image & Costume guidelines.. Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups. Runs the floor plan board. Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.

Front Desk Agents at Marriott are responsible for providing a warm welcome and delivering exceptional service to guests from check-in to check-out..
