Marathon TS is looking for a Drafter/CAD Operator III that prepares complete sets of complex drawings or computer models that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings. Assignments regularly require the use of mathematical formulas to draw land contours or to compute weights, center of gravity, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of material, etc. The Draft/CAD Operator works from sketches, computer models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer, architect, or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments. Working with NIWC Pacific Drafter/CAD operator III, will provide engineering & support services for various C2 facilities throughout the period of performance. Cataloging and archiving software media included and/or created for AV equipment.

Requires at least 10 years of experience as CNC Programmer in a fast-paced work environment or equivalent experience. Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies such as Waterjet, Wire EDM, Laser, Robotics, Gear Manufacturing, etc.

Work under general supervision as part of the project VDC team.. Review construction documents, specifications, BIM execution plan, project-specific design plan, and other documents to identify modeling requirements.. Knowledge of field installation best practices and critical design software such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and MS Office.. 10+ years of commercial electrical field experience, including experience as a Designer using AutoCAD or MicroStation, with a high school diploma or GED.. Completed electrical apprenticeship and journeyman or master electrician status are strongly desired.
